We love trusting in ourselves, our abilities, our aptitude, our checklists, education, our ability to save money, or anything else that enables us to be independent. The reality is, however, that the work that God wants for us to do to please him is to trust in Jesus. For hardworking people, that’s easier said than done. We would rather trust in what we can touch with our hands and see with our eyes. Trust in the unseen? That doesn’t seem very safe to us, but it is exactly what we need to do.
