OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world.  Samaritan’s Purse sends gift-filled shoeboxes to children in need around the world together with the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through this project, they partner with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.

Revolve Church has purchased boxes for you to fill, we encourage you to have packing parties, sharing this mission with friends!

You can also build a box online, in recent years Samaritan’s Purse has made a concerted push to build more boxes online through their website. We believe that this helps to streamline their operation without having to double check each box.  Visit the Samaritan’s Purse website for more information  https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/buildonline/

  • Free boxes and labels will be available at our office or in the lobby of Sunday service starting October 12 while supplies last.
  • Collection week is Monday, November 17- Sunday, November 23 at CMCH United Methodist Church, or you can bring the boxes to Revolve's Sunday service ON OR BEFORE Sunday November 16.
  • Find the drop off hours in Cape May Court House

KENSINGTON DONATIONS

A group from Revolve travels regularly to Kensington, Philadelphia and ministers to the homeless in partnership with other local organizations.

  • As the weather turns cold there is a need for warm clothes: sweatshirts, hoodies, warm socks, coats, blankets and hats and gloves.
  • In addition, they aslo collect new underwear, new socks, shoes, ramen noodles, snack bars, peanut butter, toilet paper, and reusable shopping bags.
  • At these outreaches they also provide a shower so if you have any towels you could donate, it would be greatly appreciated!  Old towels are perfect- they get cut and only used once.

There will be a bin at Sunday service for a few weeks!

MULTIPLY BOOK CLUB

Over the next 6 months, Revolve is encouraging our whole congregation to work through the book Multiply together.
Multiply is a resource that aims to help carry out the church's mission by forming disciples who make disciples who make disciples.

In this book, one will learn what biblical discipleship looks like, discover a basic understanding of the church, as well as receive a brief overview of the story of God as it unfolds throughout the Old Testament, culminating with Jesus Christ and the New Testament.

This book comes with discussion questions included- you are welcome to gather a group of friends and read together if you are unable to commit the meetings.

BOOK COPIES will be provided by Revolve if signed up through this registration form.  If you’re participating with friends, feel free to request copies.  You can also order a physical copy on Amazon.com or ChristianBook.com, or download your free PDF here

BASIS SUPPORT GROUP

The death of a child is like no other loss. The grief is profound and deep. Our local BASIS Support group is led by Fran and Carol Krawiec, who have personally experienced losing three of their five sons and one pre-born child, who are willing to walk alongside and help "bear the burden" of grieving parents who have lost a child for any reason, whether that child is not yet born, stillborn, a baby, a toddler, a teen or an adult.  This group is open to the public, please share this information if you know someone who may be interested.

  • The Cape May area BASIS support will meet monthly on the third Tuesday at 7pm at the Revolve Church Office.
  • Upcoming meetings: November 18, December 16
  • For more information, please contact Fran Krawiec at fkrawiec@yahoo.com or www.hvmi.org/grief-basis.

MONDAY MORNING PRAYER

Revolve aims to cultivate a culture of prayer and fasting. We invite you to join the congregation in fasting every Monday and encourage you to stop by our office (3860 Bayshore Road, Unit B) to pray with others. The office will be open for prayer from 9am- 12pm. Come and join us in a time of worship and intercessory prayer for our church family and the world. If you are new to fasting or are unsure if you understand its purpose and aim, start by listening to this sermon and downloading this worksheet.

  • @ Revolve's North Cape May office- 3860 Bayshore Rd, Unit B
  • 9am- 12pm and anytime in between, people can come and go as able

WOMEN'S PRAYER AND FELLOWSHIP

These meetings provide a way for women to fellowship with one another, pray together and encourage one another. The time will include light refreshments, a devotion and prayer.
"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."  Hebrews 10:24-25
