Joshua 6:1-11:23

The book of Joshua narrates Israel's conquest of Canaan under Joshua's leadership.  Chapters 6-11 describe various military campaigns where Israel engaged in what could be seen as holy war, including the famous battle of Jericho (Joshua 6).
1 Samuel 15:1-35 This chapter records the account of Saul's disobedience in sparing King Agag and the best of the Amalekites' livestock.  Samuel rebukes Saul for failing to devote everything to destruction (herem) as commanded by God.
