Why are you so afraid of people?

August 26, 2018 Speaker: Pastor Bill Series: The Change Project

Passage: Isaiah 41:1–14

So many people go through their lives bent on trying to earn others approval. We try to please parents, friends, bosses, co-workers, pastors, and anyone who will look our direction. The problem with living this way is that you will never be able to please people enough, and while you seek their approval you are effectively turning your back on God. Paul put it this way, “Am I still trying to please people? If I were trying to please people, I couldn’t be a servant of Christ.”

This week we wrestle with our addiction to approval and how it can be destroyed.
