We live disconnected and isolated lives. Deep down, we crave community, and we go through much of our lives hoping to find it. This is because our identity as human beings is found in community. Our identity as Christians is found in Christ’s new community. Our mission takes place through communities of light, cities on a hill, pockets of Christians living out the gospel together. You cannot be a healthy follower of Jesus and not be connected to God’s family. You need to live out your identity as a communal person.
