Each month at Revolve, we learn about and pray for a different region of the world. To introduce each new region, we gather together monthly, on the first Wednesday of every month, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, to eat, learn, and pray.
Eat (6:00 to 7:00 pm)
In the bulletin, we will anounce what the following month's region will be. You are encouraged to come to our monthly International Potluck and Prayer and to bring with you a dish from the region of the world for which we are praying. If you do not have time to prepare a dish, or are intimidated by trying a new recipe, please do not let that stop you from attending. We have yet to run out of food!
Pray (7:00 to 7:30 pm)
After we are done eating and visiting together, we spend some time learning about the spiritual needs of the region for which we are praying. One of our elders then leads us in a time of facilitated prayer. If you are new to praying, this is actually a fantastic time to learn how to pray. Our elders guide the group with a series of prayer prompts so that nobody feels out of place. People are encouraged to pray short prayers, read a scripture that they may be thinking about, or simply listen as others pray. Each month has proven to be a powerful time!
Note: International Potluck and Prayer is on break during the months of January, July, August and September.
